Our theme for the Spring Term 2022 is ‘Off with her Head!’ During this theme, we will be studying the Tudor Times.
In our English lessons, we will be learning about immigrants and refugees by reading ‘The Arrival’ by Shaun Tan and ‘The Boy at the Back of the Class’ by Onjali Q Rauf.
In our Welsh lessons, we will be learning about the coal mines, in particular the tragedy of The Senghennydd Disaster. We will be reading ‘Cwmwl Dros y Cwm’ by Gareth F Williams.
I would be very grateful if you would allow your child to bring in any relevant books, artefacts, photographs etc that you may have at home related to our theme. Additionally, if you could get in touch if you are aware of anyone who may be able to assist us with this topic (e.g., a visitor) I would really appreciate it. Thank you.
